PIER HISTORY:
In 1959 Lonnie D. Small Founded the Holden Beach, NC Fishing Pier and it remains to be one of the oldest oceanfront structures still standing on the Beach today! A Family run business since its beginning! It still remains to be one of the few resort businesses that has continued to revolve around family oriented tourism on the NC eastern seaboard!
It's central core location being in the South Brunswick Islands of North Carolina have made it a favorite for families, fisherman, locals and tourists seeking a getaway from the everyday life stresses while seeking the beauty of one of *GOD*s natural beaches for over 30 yrs. Whether you fish or just enjoy the beach; You can always find something to do!
The greatest attraction has been the diverse amount of operations dealing anywhere from a family oriented campground, pier, rentals and a nice clean beach for fun in the sun; not to mention a pier run restaurant-grill that offers a vast selection of sandwiches to plates; for those seeking a little rest, a little relaxation and not wanting to travel once they have arrived at one of North- Carolina's cleanest beaches!
Though this pier and family campground has weathered many hurricanes and storms over the years; It still stands today and has truly been a favorite for families other many years! While offering a nice southern laid-back atmosphere where you can get a friendly cup of coffee, a nice breakfast or a meal at lunchtime! Not to mention a campsite or rental!
